Girls just wanna have waves
These are just a few of the amazing beaches i've had the pleasure of lying on, Pina Colada in hand whilst bronzing my body... (in no particular order)
#1: On the coast of the Yucatan peninsular, Tulum is a little piece of paradise. Neon blue waters, white powdery sand and a backdrop of the deepest green Rainforsest. You can explore the ruins at the north end of this long stretch of beach or stroll past some of the amazing beach resorts and grab a spot at La Eufeuria for Tacos, Margheritas and vibes. when the sunsets head to Casa jaguar for their weekly jungle party or check out Papaya Playa project for the most epic parties.
#2 Nacpan beach. 6 miles of palm tree lined, white sandy heaven. only accessible by small dirt track road, my advise, hire a moped as the journey here is beaut. No Wi-Fi here though so you'll have to save them Insta shots for later, but i promise you wont care! head to one of the many beach bars/ restaurants for lunch & drinks. take a picnic and simply relax. An imperturbable tranquillity until you get to 'Mad monkey hostel! where there are free shots every hour and after sunfall head to their crazy parties for all night dancing, drinking and debouchery!
(FYi: you have to pay a small fee around £2 & sign yourself into Nacpan before you hit the beach)
#3 Set on a peninsular between krabi & Ao Nang, Railey beach is only accessible by boat. The emerald green sea, white sandy beach & breathtaking backdrops make this place a must do & the sunsets are some of the best i have EVER seen. Railey itself is a delightful mini town full of bars, restaurants & hotels or grab a paddleboard & explore the waters and caves.
(Take a short boat ride to Poda island. An uninhabited island & national park for more spectacular views.
#4 Gili T the largest of the 3 islands & just a 2 hour boat from Bali. this friendly, party island is beach bum bliss. The southwestern point is the perfect place for a Pina Colada with beach bars galore and epic sunsets. grab a bike & explore the whole island in about 15 minutes (there are no motorised vehicles here)
Gili T has the most instagramable spots in the world with sea swings & hammocks dotted around the island.
(Bike hire costs around £3/5 per day. pic was taken at paradise sunset bar)
# 5 How does your own private island sound? out of reach..well think again! Prickly pear island is just a stones throw from Antigua & is simply paradise. Take a bunch of friends & have the place to yourselves or take an excursion on certain days & sit back, sipping a rum punch which is included in the price in your own piece of perfection. a fresh lunch of fish, lobster & salad is served & the hosts will take you snorkelling on the house reef. (a full day all inclusive excursion various from around $65pp including local hotel pick up)
